Georgia White

Research and Policy Associate

Georgia has extensive experience as a policy adviser on social justice issues.

Prior to joining AIDS-Free World in 2015, Georgia worked for the State government of Victoria, in Australia. As a senior policy adviser, Georgia prepared policy recommendations, communications materials and budget advice to the head of State on youth justice, domestic violence and child welfare reforms. She also assisted in the establishment of Australia’s first Royal Commission into family violence.

In 2014, Georgia was selected to work in Phnom Penh, Cambodia as part of the Australian Government’s foreign aid program. As a Gender Policy Adviser, Georgia worked with the Cambodian Ministry of Women’s Affairs to design and implement policies to prevent violence against women.

Georgia graduated from a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, and Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from the University of Technology, Sydney in 2009. During her studies, she majored in politics and public policy, and spent one year studying in Lyon, France.
